Healing Service

The support you need to thrive

Healing service is like counselling with extra support.
Who is the healing service for?
It is available for anyone who is experiencing, or at risk of experiencing Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and any other significant life challenges.

We support people experiencing a range of issues, including domestic and family violence, grief and loss, sexual assault, child abuse, relationship breakdowns, and other challenges that may arise throughout your healing journey.

What kind of support does Healing include?

In short, it includes whatever support our clients need to help them thrive again.

In addition to counselling sessions, we can support with referrals to critical services such as legal services, mental health support, rehabilitation programs, applications for Domestic Violence Orders, Leaving or Escaping Violence Payments, and flights through DV Connect for safety.

We also provide supervised child visitation services and court support. Together, we will work to ensure that the support you receive is tailored to your individual needs.

The service is open to everyone and is particularly welcoming to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, offering culturally responsive support for all genders.

How to refer someone to our service
Individuals can self-refer by contacting us directly, or family and friends can also make referrals if they are concerned about loved ones. No formal referral is required for this vital service.

We may also receive referrals through Queensland Police, Apunipima, Child Safety, Queensland Health, and RFDS, as well as family and friends.
