Community Centre
The community centre is a great place to come and chat to us and find out more about our services. We can also connect you to services or other groups so come on over, it’s your place, and you are always welcome.
Our new Digital Hub gives access to high-performance laptops for any of your IT needs. There is also a children’s play area with lots of books and toys to keep little ones occupied.
Booking the community centre
We have two rooms available for hire for group meetings, training and activities or social group meetings. One is a smaller room with a capacity for 6-8 people or you can hire our main centre space.

We also have confidential access to 4 laptops, you can log in for secure access to the internet and Microsoft software. Our team is available to help with technical skills and other advice.
Bring your USB stick to take your work away or save to your cloud.
Coaching and group tech classes will be available.
Cafe
Our cafe is open on Wednesday and Thursday, from 9 am to 4 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, serving delicious coffee, milkshakes, cold drinks, snacks, and a hot meal of the day.
We can also cater for events in the centre on request, so come and have a chat, we can always work something out.

Op Shop
Opening hours
The Op shop is open daily from:
Monday, from 10 am to 4 pm
Tuesday to Thursday, from 9 am to 4 pm
Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm
Most items are $5 or less, and you can ‘Fill a bag’ for only $20.
As well as selling from the centre we also have pop-ups in Mapoon and Napranum.
If you or your group or community has a particular need, we can put out appeals to the wider community, so get in touch, and we will gladly put out a community appeal to bring in donations.
Our Op Shop supports surrounding communities through the regular donation of clothing and books, helping to ensure that individuals and families experiencing hardship have access to essential items and resources.

How to donate
Bring any unwanted clothes and household items and either drop them off inside or in our purple drop bin on the left-hand corner of the building.
– MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION –
If you wouldn’t wear it because it is dirty or damaged, it’s likely no one else will.
It’s hard for us to store large bulky items, and if we can’t sell them, we must pay to put them in landfill, so please keep it simple, keep it clean.
